Can I cancel a SW flight booked with points after I've checked in?

I am supposed to check in for a flight tomorrow morning, but there is a possibility I may need to cancel that flight. I won't know until after check-in time. You can cancel until 10 minutes before departure, so I assume that means I can check in and still be able to cancel within that time frame, correct?

Yep, we had to do it last minute when our daughter woke up puking! Their website was down for maintenance, so we called and it was easy.
