Ive personally never seen pixie dust for sale anywhere, but why dont you bring some glitter or metallic confetti from home and put it on her pillow!!

If there is a Libby Lu close to you (a pre-pre-teen shopping adventure) you can get pixie dust looking stuff. It may be more than you want to spend however!

You can use cake decorating glitter sold by Wilton (You can find it at Michael's).It washes out much easier than regular glitter but doesn't get all sticky either. If you go with the regular glitter I would try to find the ultra-fine stuff...a lot of times it is in the T-shirt/paint area of the craft store. You might also think about shaking off her pillow, or use a different one, before she goes to sleep. I'd hate for the glitter to get in her eyes! (OUCH!)

I've also read where moms have brought the glitter with them into the parks. They sprinkle it on the kids when they aren't looking and tell them Tink just flew by! That always sounded cute to me but I've never tried it. Don't know if my almost 9 year old DD would fall for it anymore!

I really would never ever buy something labeled as pixie dust considering I know Im getting nothing that I couldn't scrape up for nearly free within 5 minutes.

Packaging is everything! What about rice krispy treats dipped in chocolate? I can make 5 for 4 bucks!

Dating myself, but the first time I went to Disneyland (in 1985) I bought a bottle of "Pixie Dust" which was a glitter mixture in a small glass bottle that was corked at the top. It had a tag attached (w/ the really thin elastic) that had Tinkerbell on it. Being the packrat that I am, I still have the bottle (with some pixie dust still in it) somewhere. If I find it, I'll take a picture and post it (but don't hold your breath waiting!!!)

Can't explain why they wouldn't sell it anymore???
