Can I buy Power Passes and upgrade later??

We live in NY. We are going to WWOHP for 3 days in Aug. We may go in December but will definately go again in May. I was wondering if I could buy power passes and then if we want to go during a blackout time could we upgrade to a preferred annual pass??? Thanks!!

Yes you can. You will just need to pay the difference if you find you want to upgrade.

some non florida resident buy power passes at publix only to find out that they gotta upgrade to the preferred at the park...

They also can buy them at Walmart and they don't even check Florida residency at Walmart! They must be like, if you don't read the fine print thats your problem! LOL

Walmart may not check FL residency but Universal does.

Since Power Passes are only for FL residents, just purchase the Preferred AP when you get to the gate.
