Can I buy Disney $ @ resort?

My DS is about to loose a tooth we are joking about who will come Tink or the tooth fairy. I thought if he does loose it while we are @ Disney a fairy could leave him some Disney Dollars and a toy or tooth brush rather than regular money.

Question: Can I buy Disney $ at the resort?

I don't think they normally carry it - but sometimes have it somewhere on site when someone uses it to buy something. DD lost a tooth at WDW and after explaining it to the staff at POP Century they were able to get a disney dollar from the safe and also gave me a little home made wodden tooth box - it was even shaped like a tooth! DD was so excited when she found her disney dollar - it was mouse magic!

You can get it from the concierge area/desk at the resort.

Can anyone tell me all about these disney dollars and how do i get them? tia

They come in increments of 1's,5's,10's and are equal in value to the US dollar. You can get them at any disney store, resort or you can order them over the phone but from what I have read that can be pricy. here is a website where you can see them and get some more info.

You can get them at the big huge Disney store (World of Disney I think it is called) in DTD at the information/customer service desk. I bought them there in March.
