Can I buy DDP if I get CM discount on room?

I know a cast member, but if she gets me the cast member discount on a room can I still buy the DDP?

No.

It must be a rack rate package through Disney with resort, park tickets (at least one base day) and then you can buy the DDP.

Only other option is if you own DVC or rent DVC, you can then buy the DDP without a package/tickets.

Nope. This is the reason why the DDP is not a good deal for us (except during free dining but we had to pay rack for a value).

The DDP is considered a discount and you cannot combine it with other discounts, except for AAA.

Would a CM normally be able to get some type of discount on a MYW package? If so, you should be able to get the DDP as it is only available as part of the package.

No, they cannot. They can receive a discount on room only and then they might be willing to get you into the parks. They also get a dining discount (unless blacked out and they have to be dining with you) but not on entire packages.
