Can I buy a Pal Mickey ahead of time?

Is there a way to buy a Pal Mickey from a local Disney Store? I was just thinking that it might be a great way of keeping the younger kids busy on the way down. Does he say a lot when he's not in the parks? I don't know much about him - is there a thread on here somewhere that describes what he does?

I read on the disboards that people had ordered them prior to going to wdw, but that the mickeys had not shipped well.

The sound was not good anymore, maybe? But I think someone said that they will trade in the mickey's once you're at the park.

They had them at the disney store in our town at Christmas time. Not sure about now but it's worth a try.
