We are staying AOA, so there will be a kitchenette. I was wondering if a toaster is allowed in the room? I would leave it unplugged when not in use.

Don't want to break any rules though.

You will more than likely get a lot of differing views on this question. People are concerned with the fire hazard involved with a toaster.

However, I personally bring an electric water kettle to make my morning tea. I have done this every trip (except the one time we flew down) and I have never been told by mousekeeping that it is prohibited. I do unplug the kettle and put it on a shelf, out of the way but never hidden.

If you decide to bring it I would just suggest being extra careful. You don't want to burn toast and have "neighbors" calling the front desk complaining. But if it will make your mornings much easier I say go for it. After all, flat or curling irons are just as dangerous (if not more) if they are left turned on and we are allowed to bring those with us.

It's not the fire hazard that would worry me, but the fire alarm hazard. I'm guessing you would be buying a cheap toaster from Walmart or something for the trip? Cheap toasters are known (I had one that did this) to be a bit...touchy. They tend to set off fire alarms. I doubt your toaster will combust, but it may set off the alarm, which will not be a good start to your morning, or to the morning of those around you.

I'm pretty sure most of the Disney resorts (especially Values) have toasters within access of guests. Ultimately, it's up to you, but a fire alarm could get you in trouble and/or ruin your morning. Just some food for thought!

If a toaster isn't already there, they really don't want you bringing one. Doesn't the suite have one already though?

Nope just a microwave.

Then that's all you get or you use the toaster in the food court.

Looks like no bagels for us. No biggie- I just thought that my youngest would love that for breakfast. (taking our delicious real NYC bagels) The rest of us are good with granola bars- OH I just remembered Yogurt might fit the bill for little guy! No need for the toaster!

Thanks for the advice.
