I sort of feel like I want to put a bag over my head!

Here is the story...

I get my hair cut by one of my co-workers daughter... they own a salon. It's a new style for me. I used to wear my hair wavy, but this cut is very Jennifer Aniston and her "Rachel" cut, so I have been wearing it straight and lightly styled.

There isn't much you can do with it.

My DH loves it, my friends have raved, and other co-workers have commented that it looks nice.

Today, my co-worker (the mother) sees me, notices my hair and says, "I can fix it," in front of about 10 other people!

I actually styled it this morning! I thought it looked nice!

:o

I am so embarassed! Why do you think she would say something like that?

I assume that you want the paper bag for the woman who made the comment, right? Try plastic instead... pirate:

Does she lack any sense of style i think that hair cut is cute.

:lmao:

Hair stylists are artists. They see things we DON'T see. My cousin is a top hair stylist and I HATE seeing her because she uses that third artist eye on your head the minute she sees you.

But SHE has a bit of tact... she would come to me and say something like "I'd LOVE to see you in a 'whatever style' and offer it to me for free. NOT in front of 10 people! :scared1:

I am NO hairdresser and I do NOT have their eyes OR hands so I don't get insulted when they see something they can do that I couldn't do with my curling iron and comb!!

Maybe she thought you were there to get it "fixed". A lot of times hairdressers have to deal with hair problems. She should have asked what you were there for. But she assumed and announced it in front of everyone. Not good.

Did she "fix" it? What did you say? How did you get out of that situation?

ETA- I think that hairstyle is cute!

So the daughter cut it and the mother said she could fix it?

In that case I would :rotfl2:

I think it's a great cut. My DD wears her hair similarly as well.

I think she was at work!
I AM at work! :rotfl:

I just let her "fix" it, because she wouldn't relent, and now I think it looks worse!

I just can't wait to go home and wash it and start over! LOL!

Oh my gosh! I was skim reading. I totally thought you were at her salon!!
What a blunder on her part. Is she always so aggressive? Yikes! I think in the future, I'd be busy a lot at work and if that doesn't do the trick, tell her you like it!!

I don't know what I would've done in your situation. I know I would've been shell shocked. I might have let her "fix" it too, out of curiosity and to get her to stop. But it would've been a one shot deal and it wouldn't involve scissors. What did she do, comb it the way she thought it should be?

That took a lot of nerve, beautician or not!

ETA- Not that I think it's right, but the co-worker might have thought she had a pass to "fix" something her daughter did. Some people are like that. But she didn't give you much consideration.
