Can I book LESS than three fastpasses in advance?

Hello all,

This may sound weird, but for my day trip to WDW next month, I only (ideally) want to book one fastpass in advance. Can I do that, and if so, what should I expect the day-of? For instance, if I can book one fastpass for Soarin' in advance for 10-11 AM, can I use that at Epcot, and then go to a kiosk to book a fastpass to another attraction on-the-fly?

Thanks in advance!

Hello all,

Nope.

Three or none.

You would just pick all three. Then when you're there if you want to change the other two you can, or you can use the ones you picked. There would be no benefit to not picking the three now.

You can book three and cancel two... Once you do this it is fairly unfixable if you change your mind. In other words you may need to cancel all three to make changes... It is worth trying. It has worked in the past...

You can cancel any you dont want but onLy on the website not the app. And then you will be stuck with just 1 and wont be able to add more using the app. Really makes no sense to not take the 3 if you plan on riding more than 1 attraction.

I only ask because we want a FP for Test Track, but aren't planning on staying in Epcot very long. I didn't want to have to stay in Epcot longer than we wanted just to use up our three fast passes. We plan on moving on to MK shortly after, but don't want to see anything so badly that we need to schedule fast passes for MK attractions. We'll figure something else out.

Thanks for your help!

Nothing says you have to stay in Epcot until you use up your 3 FPs. You can leave after Test Track and if you are so inclined, you can cancel the remaining two FPs so that others can pick them up and use them.

The other PPs are just suggesting that if you have access to your total of 3, it can save you time if you decide to remain in Epcot and ride something in addition to TT.

As an alternative, consider scheduling all FPs for the day in MK when you get there, where waits for the day will likely be higher than Epcot earlier in the day.

DH and I are having a "whatever happens, happens" four-park day, and there's nothing we'll be upset if we don't see again. Having said that, Test Track is our favorite, and last time we were there (September 2014) it usually had pretty long wait times. Also, the other FPs for Epcot look pretty...unnecessary. So that's the method to the madness. Also when we go to MK after Epcot, we were hoping to get FPs via the kiosk, but it looks like we'll have to use up our 3 planned FPs to do that.

If anyone wants to give their two cents on our plan, here's what we've got:

Rope Drop at DAK:
Must-do:
- Kilimanjaro Safaris
- Dinosaur

Wish List if Lines Aren't Long:
- Everest

DHS
Must-do:
- ToT

Wish List if Lines Aren't Long:
- RNRC
- Great Movie Ride

Epcot
Must-do:
- Test Track
- Spaceship Earth

Wish List if Lines Aren't Long:
- Soarin'

MK
Must-do:
- HM

Wish List if Lines Aren't Long:
- Space Mountain
- Pirates
- Whatever else we can! We'll end here so we can watch the fireworks, but we've been to this park the most, and we know that we'll be back again in a few years, at the very latest. So nothing will bum us out if we don't see it.

To confirm, if I don't book any fastpasses in advance, I'll still have to do it the day-of via the app, correct? In other words, there's no way we could book fastpasses using the kiosk only?

You can absolutely use the kiosks to book FPs. Not everyone has an app.

You can book at the kiosk for a set of 3 "day of" but your choices are much better if you select them in advance.

So you can only book FPs for one park and not spread them out over different parks?

I'm also doing a 4-in-1 day on my trip. Inquiring minds need to know!

I seemed to recall being able to adjust FPes without losing others for the day last year since they were all linked with friends.

Ah, great - thank you. The "set" part is key. I know it's not part of policy, and I really do love the new FP+ system, but I'm an example of someone who would benefit from booking FPs for multiple parks!

Okay one more question - what happens if we miss our window? Does our next booked fast pass have to be for the same park? For instance, if we book 3 for Epcot, KNOW that we will miss the first because we'll still be at DHS, and use our other two to ride Test Track and Spaceship Earth, what will happen?

Thanks again for answering these questions - we've never had so many, since in the past we've used the system in the typical way.

You'll be able to walk up to a kiosk at MK and book 1 FP. After you use that 1, you can then get another.

Answers to FP FAQs like yours can be found in the green link in my signature.

You can ignore two FP+ and use the third and you are golden. You can also fail to show to the first one. Use the second and then use the app to move the third one up.
