I have a PAP and will go in December to stay at OKW with my DVC points.

My friend wants to stay at WL. Can I book the room for her with my AP pass?

Has (I'm sure) anyone done this before?

I know you can book more than one room with your pass. You might have to to have a room booked in your name. You are supposed to show the pass when you check in - so at the very least, I think you'd have to be there when she checked in.

I think the Annual Passholder may have to be one of the people listed as being in the room. If there aren't already two adults in your friend's party, maybe you could be listed as one of the people in the room? Or your friend could try to get the AP rate, and if successful, then purchase an AP him/herself -- the discount certainly pays for the purchase price of the Annual Pass.
