My parents are thinking of joining us in Dec. Our family of 4 have AP's, they do not. Can I book a room under our AP discount for them? We will be checking in and out on the same days.

thanks

We want to do the same thing. I called the passholder reservations line this morning and was told:

1) You can book up to 3 other reservations with your annual pass for other people.
2) The person you are booking for must stay at the same resort as you.
3) This person must also check-in the same day as you.

When we called back this afternoon we were told that #1 and #2 were true, but #3 was not true.

So we have very mixed information from Disney about this.

If this is true then it seems like anyone with an AP can make reservations for other people. Even strangers. I would think that could be a big mess. I could only wish that AP holders could book a room for other people. That would be awesome!!

Well, don't forget that the AP holder has to pay the deposit for the extra room, too, and if the others don't pay, the AP holder is on the hook even for a room-only reservation. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't put myself at that kind of risk for any strangers!

AP holders have always been able to book additional rooms with their discount. And in the past they did not have to check in on the same day but I believe they had to stay at the same resort.

We are AP holders but staying at a DVC resort on our points. I don't think I can book an AP room rate for my parents unless they stay at BLT with us, but I am not sure. Guess I need to call!

It would be nice, but there are some shady people in this world. But the opportunity to get those deals would be nice for non-AP holders. It's a shame that you can't really trust anyone these days.

This freaked me out yesterday...

Because I was told that I absolutely COULD NOT reserve two rooms with an AP discount...twice...by reservation CM's (on the million calls I made to Disney).

So I was all prepared to only do one, but yesterday when I called they did apply the AP to both rooms. I was a little surprised....

But they ARE checking in the next day after we check in...

Do I have to be there with them when they check in? To show my AP? I will have already checked in and shown my AP. I bet I won't have a real answer to that question until I get there, huh? :confused3

The same deal here. Had to book a 2nd room for the inlaws. Reservation CM indicated you need at least on peerson with AP in each room.

Is this a hard and fast rule? If I am an AP holder and "I" am paying for the two rooms anyway why the need for the 2nd AP? Inlaws don't really need an AP. Is their a senior cirizen discount for crist sake?

How many people in your party? If there is more than four members then I think you can book it as one reservation with two rooms.

But then again I was pretty sure an AP room can be booked for more than one room.

You need to call back and get a different CM!

There are five of us and I'm pretty sure I need to add another as my other daughter is interested in joining us. Are you sure on one res # for two rooms?

The last couple of times I have booked two rooms they booked them separately.

Anyone else have a different experience with two rooms?

I booked 2 rooms, one for myself and one for my sister and my niece and nephew. I paid for both rooms with my credit card but they gave me 2 reservation numbers and needed the names of all the people in each room. Since we aren't going until February 2010 I am hoping that I can get an annual pass rate and get the discount for both rooms.
