Can I bank borrowed points?

What happens if I’ve borrowed points then decide I can’t go this year and need to cancel? Am I able to bank them for next year or do I have to use them or lose them in this use year? TIA

No, you cannot bank points that your have borrowed. They will expire at the end of your current use year.

Banking and borrowing are final transactions. Once you do it, those points stay in the UY of the trip.

Following up to RapunzelRN’s question, if I borrow points for a booking, have a waitlist become available, will they use those borrowed points first for the waitlisted booking? The Waitlisted booking is fewer points then the original.

•Holding (if within 60 days)
•Banked
•Borrowed
•Transferred
•Annual Allotment
