We are going to the World in October of this year. It's me,DH, DD who will be 6 and DS who will be 21 months. He eats more then his sister does. Will I be able to add him to the plan and just pay for the DDP? TIA!!

If you add him to the ddp you will also have to pay for a child's ticket for him.

You can add your toddler IF you also buy park passes and include him/her in the room count as a child over 3. You have to tell Disney the child is 3 in order to do this.
Or you can pay out of pocket for some kids meals.
Or share when you can and supplement with a few purchased meals.

hope that helps!

Yes. This is what you need to do:
  • List DS as 3 years old in your room
  • Buy 1 day /1 park tickets for everyone in your room (including him) when you purchase the room package
  • Upgrade your 1 day /1 park tickets for yourself, DH, and DD to whatever you really wanted upon checkin
  • Save your DS 1 day/1 park ticket for when he really becomes 3 and use/upgrade it then!

Thanks everyone! Looks like I will just have them share some meals. They are big enough. If not I can just buy another one OOP.

We shared with our 2 year old son (VERY big eater) during our May trip...MORE than enough food. We ordered his drink at each meal intending to pay OOP...however, not one time in 7 CS meals were we charged for his drink...it was a very pleasant surprise!

The 2008 brochures say that the DDP is unavailable to children under 3. It is on page 5 in the Q&A section.

So unless you tell disney your child is 3 and then pay for tickets, etc. you can't do it.

It has been reported here more than once that CRO has allowed people to age their children as long as the appropriate park ticket was purchased.

Under 3 does not require a ticket and can eat free off the parent (or other child's) plate or at buffets. If you have questions, give Disney a call and ask.:thumbsup2
