would my dd 9 and ds 7 enjoy it?
we are considering their special new years eve performance and have never seen a cirque show.

Any advice or suggestions....
should we pay for the best seats or sit further back??

Thanks in advance!

I think your 7 & 9 yr old would enjoy nouba. There is a lot
goin on on stage to keep them occupied. Cirque is a must
see show. We loved it. It is really a unique experience. We
sat in the front row which was awesome but any seat in the
house would be acceptable. Enjoy!!!

I have not seen La Nuba, yet.... but last year I saw "O" in Las Vegas with my whole family. We ranged from 8 to 74 and we all loved it! A cirque show is hard to discribe, it is the most unique performance I have ever seen. I have taken my children to a lot of live shows (including Lion King, Riverdance, Wizard of Oz, Rocketts etc..) but if you ask them they will hands down say their fav was "O".

I always wondered why people would fork over more money to go see La Nuba when there was so much else to do at WDW, now I know why and I can't wait for fork it over in Feb.! :teeth:

BTW, my kids are 10 and 13.

Just a suggestion about seating...we sat near the front but I felt like I was too close to get the full effect of the show. We also realized that some of the actors were BEHIND us in the walkway above our seats. I would save some money and get the 2nd tier seats.

I got tickets for DW for her bday when we go in October. From what everyone has said, any seat is a good seat. But I decided on 3rd row center. Maybe when we go back and we decide to do the show again we might sit further back, but we are very happy about where we will be seating.

I totally agree with this! It's nice to be up close and personal with what's going on onstage, but you'll spend half the time leaned back in your chair with your head craned up trying to see if you sit right up front. I'd opt for something in the second tier as well, as close to center as you can afford.

We took my DD8 and DD12 to LaNouba on Christmas Day last year! It was extremely memorable. My DD's didn't say a word once the show started! They were completely awestruck by what they were seeing as was I. If money is of no object go for the high price seats. I think any centrally located seat (preferrably not on a side) would be great! A perfect idea for New Years! They'll love it! It's one of those shows you can go to more than once and still notice something new!

We went in July and my sister 8 & my nephew 5 LOVED it! We all had a really good time, I was worried about my nephew sitting thru the show, but he laughed so hard and was sooooo amazed by the show that it's all he talks about now when ever anyone ask him about WDW

Just went to a Q&A with some Cirque du Soleil - La Nouba performers Saturday afternoon. This is definitely an amazing show for kids aged 7 and 9, they will be completely enthralled.

As for where to sit, for a first show, I would go for 2nd tier seats in section 204 if possible - those will give you a great general perspective of the show. There is so much going on that it will help you to see the overall tableau which IMO is the best initial experience of the show. Then, when you come back, get seats in section 103 toward the front in order to feel more connected to individual performers.

Thanks for the advice Pammy.....you have been extremely helpful.
I think I will enjoy it more than the kids!!!

All the best to you!

We just saw the show a couple of weeks ago, my girls are 8 and 10 and they just loved it, we had told them that it was not a circus, so they would be expecting, lions monkeys and such.....

Booked the tickets today!
Got the 2nd row in the 2nd section of seats right in the centre.

It was my lucky Day!

Thanks all :cool1:

Just booked my Cirque tixs too. We've seen 'O' in Vegas and many of the other shows when they tour through our area. I didn't think DW was too interested until she saw the show about WDW on the Travel Ch the other day. Based on the advice from y'all, I was trying to get tickets in the 2nd tier towards the center. They were all sold out, so I had to elect for the 1st tier center. Oh, poor us! ;)
