Dates have finally been posted for MVMCP in December so Boyfriend and I can finally start finalizing plans.

The dates we are planning to go to Universal are December 12 or 13 through December 17. We will be staying at RPR and will have AP.

MVMCP dates for the time period we're there are either the 13, 14 or 16.

What do you guys thing would be the best day to hit what parks. We're thinking US, IOA, then Mickey's. I worry about how crowded it's going to get that friday with locals. Do you think IOA or US would be too busy on a Friday?

I think early-mid December you should just about miss the INSANE Xmas rush, which will probably begin just after you leave. I wonder if you planned it that way? ;)

Locals can give you better advice than me, BUT if I were you (and if I read your conundrum correctly), the later into your stay the busier it will be at IOA, so perhaps do Disney first, and then use your EP at IOA on say Dec 16 when you know you will NEED it badly.

Otherwise you run the risk of doing IOA before the insane crowds, and then leaving yourself with the similarly insane crowds at Disney where - in the absence of EP as we know it - you will actually have to queue for some rides. :scared1:

I think you should try to stay away from weekends if at all possible but since you'll be onsite, it won't really matter during that week. The crowds don't really hit until Christmas week.

We did plan it that way, you are right. Thankfully our anniversary is Dec 16 and we get out of school around the 6th-ish. We decided to go the week before our anniversary because the schools around here start getting out on the 16th.

Originally we were going to try and do Mickeys on the 16th (anniversary) but Im way to frightened about the crowd level as that day jumps to the regular price even with advanced buy. Plus its the second to the last one of the season. Ive never understood why disney does this and doesnt continue the celebration through new years.

Im not worried about the crowds for rides at USF just about Grinchmas and Potter really- oh and RRR, havent gotten to ride yet. We wake up early to get into Potter so that shouldnt be a problem, but Ive never done Grinchmas before. We also thought about doing Mickeys the day we arrive but... idk! decisions decisions...
