Basically I am going alone to Disney but I want to spread a little pixie dust by grabbing a small family and including them for the fastpass card. I just don't want to mess my own fastpass plan. Is this possible?

Yes. With your one voucher you can get Fastpass Exchange Cards up to the size of your party, but no more than a total of six people. The entire group must be with you at the time you convert the voucher.

If you select a family it will have to be prior to your entering the Park, as they must be at the window with you.

Lovely way to spread the magic. But some don't understand how it works and might turn you down. A few years ago myself, dd, and dbf were going to go to MVMCP. Due to DBF's job he couldn't go on the trip. I tried giving his ticket on the tram to many couples. I figured then they only needed to buy 1 more ticket. They all said no. Just as we were passing the ticket windows I saw a couple with a small child about to purchase tickets. I asked if they were buying tickets for the party and they were so I gave them our extra ticket. They wanted to pay me but I told them I was just glad it was going to good issue. We saw them several times throughout the night and they kept waving and thanking me.

You are doing a nice thing!
