Can Disney cruise be for adults only?

We will be cruising with our kids 3 & 5 for the second time in December and really enjoy seeing them enjoying the cruise & have a great time as a family. However, there is so much to do that we wont be able to even think about until they are both old enough to stay in the clubs for a while or even stay home with friends. :)

Does your knowing reply mean you've also figured out you can drag that half moon shaped chair from the stateroom out onto the verandah? ;-)

My husband and I (40s & 50s) have enjoyed a 3 day and a 4 day cruise on DCL without kids and booked our 7 day while onboard the last one. As you can see from the many replies, lots of adults enjoy DCL without kids. We hardly noticed them except in the elevators.
You asked about late dinner seating. Adults without kids usually get the TAPT or LAPLAPL rotation where there are very few children. We felt sorry for the poor little guy (about 6 yr old) at the table beside us. The parents dragged him in every night, very well behaved and all dressed up, put food in front of him and he fell asleep every night! Other than that, we saw few children at dinner.
Go for it! You'll love it!:hyper:

Nick...but of course...I was merely noting, with admiration, the likelihood that you, too have realized you can use that chair to more comfortably sit out on the verandah and sing Disney show tunes under the stars. We make it a point to do that at least once each cruise. ;)

I agree with everyone else. DH and I have now made 3 Disney trips. We have a blast. The cruise is "Wonder"ful and you really never notice children around. We met a couple in Nassau that was on Carnival and they asked us if there were lots of kids on our cruise. We said probably but you would never know. They said there were TONS on theirs.

Also I think Disney know how to do things right. When we were having our Sail Away Party with music, dancing, drinks, and the characters running around the passengers on the Carnival ship leaving next to us were watching our party.

Our kids are in there 20's so we've sailed 4 times without them, twice with Royal Caribbean and twice with Disney. We loved RRCL but we LOVED!!! Disney. You know how a Disney movie is great for kids but also great for adults on a different level. The same holds true with the cruise. If your a Disny fan, try the cruise! We're now saving for our next Disney cruise, this time with our new grandson. Here's a link to our December Cruise.

my husband and i went with my family 2 years ago and want to go by ourselves at least once before we have babies..so we are going in september

Miss Vivian and I have been on two 3 day cruises on the Magic, an Eastern and a Western. We are now in our mid 50s and can not think of a better vacation. We are big Disney fans, went to the Kingdom this past Dec., but that is not what keeps us coming back. You will not believe how many other childless couples you will meet. We have always had Late Seating and have seen very few children there. That goes for the first shows since most of the children are eating at that time. Our dinning companions have always been about our age with a couple of honeymooners thrown in from time to time to spice it up. The adult only beach at Castaway is heaven on earth.
Now for romantic - our son took his girlfriend when we went on our second cruise. On the first night at sea he walked her up to deck 10, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes and they did a return trip the next year as part of their honeymoon.

Now the "BUT" - our son and his wife are planning on adopting this year probably from Russia and probably more than one. I have already started planning for our first "with children" cruise.

We would be on the Magic this year but have decided to go to Alaska instead. We will give a Princess/DCL comarison review when we return.

Have a great tirp.

DH and I have no kids, but are kids at heart and Disney fans to boot. We love cruising with Disney. We've done a 3-day Magic, two 4-day Wonder cruises and both the 7 day Eastern and 7 day Western. Next up the 10 day Christmas cruise.

The adult areas are great and to be honest they do children's programming so well you really don't see a lot of them (unless you want to hang out at the Mickey or Goofy pool :D

Disney Cruise can DEFINITELY be for adults only. DH and I are about to take our 2nd adults only cruise. My sister does NOT get it! We had sooooooooooooooo much fun last time. We took our kids later and had fun, but I can't WAIT for the next one!!!

I keep debating between DCL or RCCL for next summer. We have only been on a disney cruise so didn't know what to compare it to. Our adult daughters are going also so we were thinking anything but DCL. After reading these messages, I'm going right now to tell my hubby that we are going DCL. (I just wonder where the 7 day will be)

this is our second cruise on DCL. 2 years ago we went with my mom, dad, sister, brother, brother in law, niece, nephew, aunt and uncle..we are so excited to go by ourselves this time. its fun to watch the children but you definitely dont have to be near them all the time
