Can discount prices change?

I thought the price of a hotel with a certain discount for certain dates would remain the same until it's sold out. I was just playing around on the site looking at my dates and hotels and when I pull up the annual passholder rate it's a lot higher than what I paid. Will the rate I paid for the room stay the same or will it go up to this new price? Or is the website being glitch again?

Disney doesn't change it's prices like that. They set the rates for the whole year. Then when they release discounts, they are the same for the whole promotion period. Are you sure you are looking at the same category room that you were before? A garden view room? Also, are the dates exactly the same? Weekend rates are higher, so if you have a weekend included that you didn't have before, the rate would be higher.

If you have booked & paid a deposit, your rate will stay the same unless you change it. We have been staying at Disney resorts for 22 years, many times more than inc a year. We have never been charged more than we booked at.

Edit: what rate did you already have booked? Was it a passholder rate ? Or a travel agent special? Some travel agencies have special rates with Disney that are less than anything Disney releases to the public.

Yup it's the exact same date range and same category with a passholder rate. If you search those dates under the main page it showed the hotel as sold out, but if you clicked into it the above rate was displayed. When I booked it was $319. I feel like the above has to be wrong it's a 11% discount which is an odd number. When I tried looking later it said Stitch at the page so maybe they are aware of the problem?

I've never noticed a rate change before so I wasn't sure if that's standard practice.

Just an FYI, folks on the AP discount thread are reporting problems with the website. So website is still glitchy.
