Can dining be added?

There are several threads out there about the AP discount that came out today. I'm praying hard that they offer it for Disney Visa soon too! Can anyone who's booked with the AP discount tell me if they let you add dining on or if they only allow it to be a room only rate? I know you wouldn't get the DISCOUNT on the dining plan but can you get the room discount and then turn it to a package with tickets/dining?

I booked the AP rate with the DDP. No need for tickets though, since we'll have an AP
