We have a TS meal & were thinking about ordering food to go from Flying Fish due to way tired kids who could not sit through another TS meal. Is this possible?
Thanks

TS locations don't really do take out. They aren't set up for it. You could make an ADR and order, then request containers for your food and leave, but I don't think that's what you're looking for.

You can use your credits for room service pizza, I think at all the resorts that offer room service.

At CS, yes. Especially at resort CS. At parks, you can take your CS food anywhere you want, but depending on which restaurant you may not be able to get anything to pack it up in.

Flying Fish will not do carryout. Most of the WDW restaurants will not. I remember someone carrying out an entree from the bar at Il Mulino but that is not a Disney restaurant and is not on the dining plan. I have read here that ESPN Club will do carryout (with a mandatory 18% gratuity charge)

I concur with the PPs...most of the WDW TS restaurants aren't equip to do take out in the traditional sense (i.e., go up to the podium, place an order, and then take it with you). At best, you can make an ADR, be seated, and then ask to have the food boxed up immediately. It's worth noting that most TS locations do not have plastic silverware, napkins, or bags, so you'll need to get those yourself from a QS location.

Regarding the QS locations, you can take the food with you, but they also generally do not have take out containers. They can give you an extra plate to use as a cover, but they generally don't have containers that seal shut. They may or may not have bags to carry multiple items either. The best QS location (in terms of carry out containers) is Les Halles (I think they know a lot of guests get pastries to eat later on).

Thanks for the feedback. Just FYI, I don't know about other restaurants, but I stopped by Kouzzinas and Flying Fish & they both said that they would absolutely let a guest walk up to the podium & order food to go & use 1 TS PP.
Great to know & we will be doing that this trip. Much easier to eat in the DVC Villa with two small kids , then try & manage them everyday at at a restaurant.

I would double check with the server that takes the order because Flying Fish is a Signature dining location and requires 2 TS credits when you dine there. Is seems odd that they would only charge 1 TS credit if you do take out.

Very interesting to hear this. Did you do it or did you just talk to them about it? I have never actually heard of any disney table service establishment allowing this.

Flying Fish is a 2 credit restaurant. I am guessing that no matter what you were told, there is no way they would pack up a meal for you and charge you one credit for it.

we once had an extra TS and were getting rid of snack credits at Downtown Disney ... My DH asked if he could take-out at Rainforest Cafe. Technically, they said no BUT if he sat at the bar and drank his drink, they would give him his meal in a to-go container. No dessert but we were good with that.

So it doesn't hurt to ask - especially places that have a bar that you could wait at. :)
