Hi,
We've got the Deluxe Dining Plan when we visit in December as it works out ok for us due to the amount of char meals and signatures that we will be doing.
However DD is only 4 and has a tiny appetite. I HATE the thought of us just ordering a meal for her at times if she just isn't hungry as it will be such a waste of food. At least at buffets I can just put a few bits on her plate and I won't feel guilty for wasting food.

Could we turn up for meals and just DH and I order a meal and DD just eat a few bites off our plates? She would probably just munch on a bread roll at the most! Would we still have credits deducted for her? I just don't want to waste food and know she won't eat loads in a day. I would rather use her 'spare' credits to buy 'meals' at the food court at POFQ that we could all share/ put in day bag for when she needs to graze or just let them go at the end of the vacation rather than waste food and have chefs wonder why she has refused their offerings?! :worship:

You can't do that at buffets but many table service will allow you to split an entre. We often just gave one the kids the appetizer when we used DxDP and need to conserve for 2 TS places.

From your post, it sounds as though you understand that you will be charged for your daughters meals at all buffet places.

However, you do not need to order anything for her at the a la carte restaurants and use her credits the way your described. Just keep in mind that you should be ordering children's meals.

We have done this on several occasions (my son is a VERY picky eater)...and haven't had the slightest problem. We usually ordered him a drink and paid OOP and then shared anything he cared to sample (bread and desserts mostly :lmao: ).

Have a great trip!

You can not share meals/credits at buffets, all you can eat places, or shows. You also can not share at Via Napoli. They require everyone to order a meal and will deduct credits for everyone.

Just about any other a la carte restaurants will allow you to share. Just know that you will be left with a number of child meal credits.

Hi, OP here- thank you so much for the replies. It's great to hear that there should be no problem not ordering a meal for DD if she's just not hungry- and a great idea just to buy her drink OOP.
I know we will end up with spare children's credits but I would rather that than see good food go to waste and her get into the habit that she can order a meal and then leave it all as that could be more problematic when we get home!
Thanks everyone- have a great Sunday!
