Can children on DP order adult CS meal?

My 9 year will get tired of nuggets and I was wondering if we were allowed to order an adult CS meal...for instance chicken at Cosmic Rays or ribs at Flametree.

The policy of the DP is that children can only order an adult meal if there is no children's menu available.

If you are on the Dining Plan, a child has to order from the children's menu. If there is no children's menu they can order from the regular menu, but there are very few restaurants to which that applies.

If you are paying OOP, you can order anything you want.

Disney states that kids MUST order from the kids menu where one is available.

Just so you know, posts like these will often be closed due to the board rules.

Would you be able to use your own adult credit for your meal, but opt to pay OOP for your child if they wanted an adult meal? Than you'd just have an extra kid credit.

Not sure if that's an option!

No, but depending on how big an eater your 9yo is, you may find that sharing an adult meal and saving the kids meal credit for breakfast is an option. We did that a few times on the DDP because our 9yo DS got tired of kids meals.

If you are on the ddp, they pool all the CS credits and do not distinguish between the children and adult cs meals. You are suppose to monitor how many you use but disney does not separate them.

Closing, as it has been noted, it is the policy on the Restaurant boards that discussion of using children's credits to order adult meals is not allowed.
