Can cakes be ordered at Disneyland Restaurants?

I've ordered cakes from restautants in WDW and was wondering if there was a cake hotline to order a cake for my DH at a Disneyland restaurant.

Anyone know?

You can order cakes at the HOTEL restaurants but not the park restaurants. We just did this last week at Goofy's Kitchen. You arrange it thru the DL dining phone number which I don't have at the moment (it's still packed in my luggage, oops) but is probably easily found here or at allearsnet.com.

It was good though not what we ordered. We ordered chocolate ganache, yellow cake and strawberry filling with a Mickey theme ... we received a cake with chocolate mousse filling (no strawberry filling in sight) with ribbons and butterflies on it, lol. For two boys' birthdays, it was a bit girly. I plan on posting pics of it when I, yes, unpack the other memory card from that luggage that is staring at me while I type.

As long as you accept that the cake designers are going to do whatever they want, as long as you can relinquish that control which is, gulp, an issue for me, it will be fine. It should TASTE fine. Ours did.

I made a conscious decision to have a lighthearted dinner celebrating my wonderful boys. They didn't know the cake wasn't what I ordered and I wasn't about to make a big deal about it anywhere near their hearing. And, to be perfectly fair, I was told that they can request theming but it is not guaranteed so the only thing missing was the strawberry filling. In the grand scheme of things, no biggie. Only my poor chocolate-hating DH suffered, the rest of us devoured it!

That stinks, but I know what you mean about complaining....it kinda ruins the Disney magical feeling...I pick & choose my battles whenever I'm around Disney.

I was told that it is a request only, nothing guaranteed. I did everything I could to "assist" in getting the cake I envisioned: I said Mickey-themed and yellow, black and red as the decorative colors. There were the same little Mickey chocolate discs that are all over the cakes on the cake thread but the only color on it was the "Happy Birthday" which was in blue/purple.

My sister worked at WDW in college (at the Pirates of the Caribbean ride) and kids thought she was the real Wendy from Peter Pan. She would sign autographs, and tell them to tell Peter Pan where she was....but look out for Capt. Hook. She said the kids would just eat it up.

How cute! I almost worked at Disneyland when I was in college, but accepted an internship instead. It would have been a blast.

I ordered DD a 10" Chocolate ,custard filling, with Buttercreme cake ($33) by calling Vacation Planning Service 714-300-PLAN.

I also ordered my DD the California Dreamin' Basket ($83)

I was asked if I wanted the cake delivered to my Hotel room or Restaurant.
