Can babies sit on lap on rides?

Can babies sit on a lap when on rides without height restrictions? Not sure my 14 month old babies would be happy sitting next to us. They would much rather be in our laps. So which rides allow it or don't allow it?? Thanks!!

Yes, EXCEPT rides with lap bars. If the ride has a lap bar, you can't keep the baby on your lap, he/she needs to be sitting on the seat.

Generally yes. On the teacups ride, though they can be on your lap, they need to be facing front (ie. Back up against you). So if it's a really young baby who can't really sit on your lap facing frontwards, they may not be allowed on the teacup ride. I would imagine your 14 month old will be fine with this.

Definitely! Do you have an ergo or similar carrier? They can also ride in that. My little one slept through Peter Pan, Pirates of the Car. etc in the Ergo and loved Winnie the Pooh, Teacups, Small World and much more on my lap! (He was just turning one.)

We never used those ergo carriers. We do have a hand me down one but they have never went in it so not sure that would work for us and they might be too big for them anyway. I'm hoping they will be ok sitting next to us but my boy is a huge mamas boy and might scream bloody murder if he's not on my lap. But that is good to know that the rides with lap bars they need to sit and the ones with out they don't.

One specific ride comes to me for me. What about haunted mansion? Since it kinda has a one size fits all lap bar can they sit in a lap if there is room or will they need to sit on there own?

I was there earlier this month and had my two year old on my lap for Haunted Mansion with no problems.

We never had an issue, even on rides with lap bar. As long as the bar goes over them as well it will be fine if they are in your lap.
