Just curious is an AP can get the DDP added to their stay?

Also, am considering the 4/3 MYW package for March. Do we get credits by days or by nights? For ex. if we arrive late Sat., do we have credits for that day? Also, when we check out early on Sun., do we have credits for that day? I have never done DDP and am not sure what to do. There will be 2 adults and it seems like a good deal. THANKS!

Yes, but you need to book a room/dining package for AP holders. This is still a package booking and has the same deposit, payment and cancellation rules as other packages. The only guests who can add DDP to a room-only booking are DVC members.

You can't get the 4/3 on an AP room/dining package deal, I think you have to buy tickets with that one.

The number of dining credits you receive depends on the number of nights you stay. If you stay 7 nights on the regular dining plan you will receive 7 TS, 7 CS and 7 snacks per person. On the deluxe plan you would receive 21 meal credits and 14 snacks per person.

If I do this what do I call it so the CM knows what I'm talking about. (This is not with the 4/3 deal - it's a different trip.)

If there is an AP room discount available you may be able to get it applied to the package. Don't know about the AAA discount. You could not combine AAA discount and AP discount. I know you can get an AAA discount on packages if you book them through AAA.

I'd call it an annual passholder dining plan package.

i just changed my room only with ap discount to include the disney dining plus - i kept my ap discount on the room
the main difference is the cancellation policy and you also have to pay the amount in full if you are making the change under 45 days

the cm i spoke with assured me that appetizers were included in the basic disney dining plus package but i have since been told by a Diser that that is incorrect - you only get an entree and a dessert!

By dining plus do you mean the deluxe dining plan? You do get appetizers with the deluxe plan. That is the one that costs $71.99 per night (2009 price) per adult.

Regular dining (1 TS, 1 CS, 1 snack per night, costs $39.99 per night in 2009 per adult) does not include the appetizer.

the cm referred to it as the new disney dining plus - he said they no longer make you buy a ticket to the park or do something else that i can't remember what he said! i asked him twice about the appetizer because i thought i had read on the dining reviews that the person was disappointed they couldn't get an appetizer:confused3
i am going to try to call back to disney dining tonight!
thanks again for the input!

I do not know what Disney Dining Plus is. You can book either regular dining which does not include an appetizer (1 TS, 1 CS, 1 snack per night) or deluxe dining which does include the appetizer (3 meal credits and 2 snack credits per night plus refillable mug). You may want to call back and find out which one you booked. That's assuming you want to pay for the deluxe plan, if that is not what you booked.

It sounds as if they did not tell you there are two different dining plans (actually three in 2009 but it does not sound like you want the quick service plan)
