And is it really worth $23.99 per person? I understand there are no characters, so the food should be awesome. Is it? We were all set to go there on this trip, have wanted to the last two times we've been to WDW, until DH realized that DS who is 12 now would have to pay the adult price.

I would really appreciate if it someone who has been recently could tell me the main course items that are on the buffet. Don't really care about salads and side dishes, just want to know about the seafood and other main course foods.

Thank you!

Cape May buffet is one of our favorites. In March, some of the main dish items were: Peel n' Eat shirmp, mussels, clams, salmon, BQ ribs, roast chicken, plus wonderful clam chower, baked potato. I have read on the boards recently they have added prime rib. On the kids buffet they have mini hot dogs, meaty chicken strips (all white meat), and macaroni & cheese.

That menu is only current as of March, there have been changes. As of the beginning of May there was a primerib carving station with lots of rolls and bread. Also the clams and mussels now are cooked with "flavoring", I think I remember like a garlic butter but you can request then plain. If you do a search this was a topic in the last two months.

Well, for the 1st thing, if you go in thinking you will find a bonafide seafood buffet, you will be disappointed. Yes, there are seafood items on the buffet table, such as peel and eat shrimp, steamed mussels and clams and fish, but the buffet is a "CLAMBAKE", not really a seafood buffet. You will also find a chicken dish, prime rib, pasta, a large salad bar, a dessert bar to die for, soups, as well as a variety of side dishes, including red skin potatos, mashed potatos, corn on the cobb, vegetable medley, etc.

This is one of the best values on WDW property, always fresh and tasty and the service is fantastic. It is one of our very favorite places to eat and one we always take our company to when they are in town.

We ate there last summer(6 adults and children ages 2,5,12 and 13). We all enjoyed ourselves. The offerings were many and even the pickey kids ate their full. Afterwards, we took the boat over to the Boardwalk and rode the bikes. It was such a fun night!

We had a PS and waited about 30 minutes. This was in August so I can't tell you about other times but it was a full house and I would think that you would want to make a PS. Enjoy!

We love the Clam Bake at the Cape May Cafe. There is a wide variety of food and all of it is great!
Definitely worth the price.
I would also suggest getting Priority Seating. It is very popular.

Reason why I was asking, is we are staying right there, at the YC. And I'm thinking we will want to eat there often. I can't imagine making PS everyday, not knowing for sure, if we want to eat there. I know when DH and I went to WDW back in 1997, we went in October, not very busy time of the year. And we were able to go to the restaurant we wanted to go to that day, and ask for seating, several hours later.
