Can anyone tell me the model of 747?

We'll fly from Manchester with VA and want to know what seat config it will be before we choose our seats (just three of us), preferably with leg room our son will be 7 if it helps, can anyone recommend good seats??

You will more than likely be on a 747-400.

Everyone is spot on and I would certainly recommend V Flyer for info as per Tim. Not sure what link Tim has posted but they usually have a thread/page with what plane is doing certain routes over periods and patterns can be established. Worth a look for sure.

We fly with VA from Manchester too and I agree with what everyone has said.

They used to use the old 747-200 type aircraft, but thankfully last year they decided to give us Notherner's a bit of extra comfort and newer planes!
