We will have some time while we are there in May and would like to sit through some timeshare presentations. We are DVC members and are not planning on buying but we are looking for ones that offer you money to sit through their presentations.I know this sounds crazy but we have done this alot in Tennessee and have gotten 100.00 or more at each one and have no problem saying no.So if you know of any and want to share your experiences please feel free.

the Marriott offer free tickets sometimes they offer Disney Dollars. they are alot like DVC - no pressure.

Celebration World offer says it offer $120. I don't know about this one - I haven't done it.

there are several.

Thanks for the quick response.Do you know where I can find any info on these places?

We take many for tickets etc. Will not do Westgate or Palms (high pressure) any others are fine.

Since every one of the attractions raised their prices earlier this year, pretty much all of them are offering 2 Disney tickets for 37.00 each right now or 60.00 cash. You can still get 2 free dinner show tickets right now though.

We sat through the :headache: I can't think of the name of the resort!!

We received $90 for our time though...and were VERY clear with the sales rep that we were DVC and only interested in how "the other guys work". Told them up front we're not buying.

Still got the whole sales "experience" though;)

Funny how they start out at $29,000, and before you're out the door, it's $1300... :rotfl:

It was the resort off the 192 by the Black Angus Steakhouse...Owe's Lake Road..? the Orchid World is right across the street...Windham Resort...??? It was up the road from the old Westgate resort...We signed up at the IHOP, by marker 5...

HTH!!

We received $80 and a free breakfast from Wyndham Palms last year but they are VERY high pressure. However, for $80, we will put up with high pressure for a few minutes. OLCC was no pressure whatsoever, but only gave us $40. Debby

some are high pressure, i was trying to stay out of attorney mode while on vacation but some, not all try and make you feel like peons, they belittle you in a respectful manner, i was nice and polite as long as i could, they offer, counter offer, and you are right it is amazing how much the price can drop down, but i do not think it is awful to go to it for the money or tickets, heck they offer it and they promote no obligation so well why not, it is funny because some make you feel guilty-i was like, what is happening to me-i am still in mommy mode-lol but i ended up buying at OL because i liked everything they had to offer-just make sure you are strong willed because they are confident they can talk you into it--ps even if they talk you into it cuz you feel guilty or pressured -i believe you have 15 days to cancel you notify them in writing etc have fun

Any Marriot presentation is usually low key and they offer different things depending on what you want. My parents got "Marriot money" when they were staying at a Marriot to use at the hotel, but I know they were offering tickets and I think I heard them offering cash at one time.
I'm not sure what resort they are currently pushing but if you go to vacationclub.com maybe there is info there and a spot to email them to ask about presentations.

MMB I think you might be thinking of Wyndham Palms or there is one near it I think it is Celebration Resorts (not related to Celebration the Stepford Wives City). They are both almost adjacent to Orchid World.

Wyndham Palms in my opinion was NOT high pressure. I told them from the outset I had two kids in college and there was no way I was going to buy. I was staying there for a special rate 99 per night for 10 nights b/c I took the tour. I told them all of the things I did not like right off the bat and they figured that there was no way I was going to change my mind. The girl was very nice but she knew it was a lost cause.

I was just wondering. What is the time limit on Marriott?? We took a tour last August. Are they the ones that let you do it only once every 4 years? I will take another for tickets. Last year we timeshared our way for 15 days and it cost us total of 900.00 for our rooms all of which were two bedroom suites at 4-5 star resorts. It was a little inconveinent but since we were staying a couple of extra days we figured we did not want to pay all that much for it.

I say do it. They make the offer and bank on people feeling guilty. If you do business like that then I feel that you have every right to use them also.

Ahh..thank you! That was it:)
We didn't find it too bad, pressure wise. Compared to Westgate, it wasn't pressure at all;)...and for $90...why not!!LOL!

Sky Auction has Fairfield Resorts giving 2 one day tickets to Disney that include an extra option on each (waterpark, etc.) plus a $25 dining certificate.

Ia gree.
Wyndham is high pressure. They kept up for 3 hrs. I had no clue what to expect at a TS presentation. My significant other ended up purchasing, after I told him NOT to do it.
We recently went to WestGate and Hilton presentations. WestGate was high pressure too. I would tell them no, they would say OK, lets close you out, then another guy would come, and then finally they would say, ok, and then a final person comes over and tries to sell you. I could not beleive it.

Hilton was not as high pressure as Palms or Westgate, but they don;t give up easily. We got the cheap rates. No money tho. I wish we would have got the money. There is a grocery store on 192 by Splendid China area- a guy works there and he knows where they offer you $90 to attend a all kinds of diff tours. LOL

if you have to pay 1 $25 or $30 "deposit". You'll get it back after you complete the tour. The guy that signs you up will give you a receipt for it, and after the pitch at the resort, when you escort yourself;) out, turn in the receipt and your slip for the "gift" you asked for, and you'll get your $$$/dinner/tickets, etc, and your deposit back.

HTH!!

If you have done the VV presentation, can you tell me what to expect? We are considering it but have absolutely no interest in buying. Do they offer any accomodations for children during the presentation?
Thanks for the help!

Anyone ever do the timeshare at Ron Jon's Resort in Cocoa Beach? Wonder how it was and what they offered?
