The top floor of the Contemporary used to have a restaurant before it was Cal. Grill. What was the name of that place??? We used to eat there all of the time and if I remember correctly, it was a moderately priced place.

Years ago, the Top of the World restaurant was in that location. In the early years, they had live entertainment during the dinner hour.

I took my grandmother there in 1991. It was called Top of the World, I think. There was a dinner show called "Broadway at the Top" and it was pretty hokey but my Mommom loved it!!! The food was great as I remember. The chef came out and visited each table to make sure we enjoyed our meal.

Haven't been to the Garden Grille yet...

It was a beautiful dinning/dancing place, like an old fashioned night club from the 50's. The live band playing was very nice for before dinner dancing and the food was very good. Usually they had a dinner show with live music and singing continuing throughout the meal.

This was back in the 80's when we went and my son who was about 8 that time asked me to dance, he was quite the little gentleman that night. My hubby and I enjoyed the dancing. Too bad its gone. We liked it very much.
