Can anyone recommend a good place to have dinner in the WS in EPCOT? I will be with 3 little ones so I am looking for something good, not too upscale (we're on vacation) and something for everyone in the family.

Thanks to the Dis Crew for all of your help?

Also...how is the Sci-Fi Diner in DS?

My very favorite cs restaurant is Seasons in the Land Pavillion.

I love the selection of the food there. It is real food, not just burgers, chix strips, etc.

I hear that Akershus (Morocco) is great for their character breakfasts. Also, I've never had a problem with San Angel Inn (Mexico) for either myself or my kids. We'll be doing SS (Land) for the first time as well during our upcoming trip. It seems to get good reviews.

As for Sci-Fi, we rather enjoyed it. We'll be enjoying it again........well, tomorrow night!!!!

I would have to recommend Germany but I'm a bit partial having lived there for 3 years. I love the food!

We like the Counter Service Bakery (sorry, don't know the name) place in Norway. It is across the courtyard from Akershus. They have the kids meals, but also open faced sandwiches, soups and other tasty Norwegian entrees, as well as some really good bakery and desert items. We always get an assortment and share. The kids have always liked the food and they have a really nice, quiet covered patio to eat at that I've never seen crowded. We always try to make it over there when we need a breather.

We eat at the cantina on the lake in mexico. If you like mexican food you will love this place. We generally get two of the big combos and share it amongst the four of us.

We love Germany, the kids love the floor show and the all you can eat buffet. It is a great set down and relax experience.

Our other favorite is the Garden Grill at the Land. Great character interaction and great food.

Have fun

With three kids I would also suggest Biergarten. There is a dance/play area in front of the stage and kids are encouraged to go there when the band is playing.

Let's see... There are a couple of places that would entertain your children and give you a great meal. My daughter just loved the Coral Reef in The Sea (sorry not WS). One wall is aquarium and the lighting makes you feel a bit like you're underwater. Another great option is Teppan Edo (assuming its open now). My daughter loves the whole experience of hibachi. We also enjoy Nine Dragons and DD used chopsticks there age 4 1/2. It was too cute.
If you're going to dine in one of the World Showcase restaurants, teach your kids to say hello & thank you in the native tongue. My daughter actually floored us in April by greeting our server in China with "Nee-how". Even the server was stunned! So, for our trip this past April, I had her learn a word or two for each country we travelled through. The UK was a gimme. :)

With three little kids, I think Biergarten is a good place - it's a buffet so you have plenty of choices. And, if I remember correctly, they had some kid "favorties" like chicken and mac & cheese. We love Rose & Crown, but it seems like they've changed their menu - the kids menu no longer looks appealing. The TS restaurant in Japan used to be a favorite of ours also. It was recently redone, but I've heard the idea is still the same - the chef chops and cooks the food right in front of you. My kids always got a kick out of that. And it's pretty basic - chicken or beef with some veggies and rice.

For the World Show case:
Teppan Edo in Japan has Teppanyaki style dining (Where the chefs prepare the food in front of you) thats entertaining and yummy.

Biergarten in Germany has entertainment and is a buffet. Not my personal favorite because I am not a big fan of German food but its a fun place.

Marrakesh in Morroco has a belly dancer and music.

For Future World:
I recommend lunch or dinner at the Garden Grill in the Land. This is a Character Meal and I find the character interaction at this restaurant to be the best. Its a family style meal, so everyone dig in, and the whole restaurant rotates slowly during your meal.
Typical Characters: Mickey, Pluto, Chip 'n' Dale

Remember that you don't have to dress for any meal in Epcot. Its all Casual Dining.

Enjoy your trip! :cheer2:

Another vote for Biergarten! :thumbsup2 Someone previously posted about the character breakfast in Akershus (it's in Norway, not Morocco). That's good too if your little ones are partial to Princesses... little pricey 'though, you're paying more for the experience then the food IMHO. :surfweb:

Moved your post here to Restaurants Board,I think the exprts here can give you some great information.:goodvibes

Another vote for Biergarten! The food is wonderful and choices on the buffet are plentiful, so even the pickiest of eaters will find things he/she likes. As for Sci-Fi, DH and I ate there last month and weren't impressed. I had the BBQ chicken ( don't know the "real" name) sandwich and DH had butcher steak. Our meal was average but we really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Thank you so much for everyones recommendations...it will help make the day!!! Do you need and ADR for the Biergarten or the Character Meal in The Land? I know you need in most places but understand that sometimes you can get in without too much of a wait...may be a rarity...do we take a chance or go with the ADR if available...we will be in EPCOT on Wednesday of next week. :yay:

My girlfriends and I loved, loved, loved Coral Reef Restaurant! There were a lot of young kids there but if your little ones liked Nemo at all then I think they would enjoy this! Also my sister enjoyed the Sci Fi with her little guy!

Our fave restaruants in Epcot are:

Mexican = San Angel Inn - The atmosphere can't be beat!

Coral Reef = We love the sea food and watching the fish.

Japan = Teppanito is great food.

Germany = Biergarten loved the atmosphere and the dance floor where the kids can play...However, the food left a little to be desired.

Hope that helps!
