Can anyone recommend a good 35mm camera?

I just bought a Canon 35mm camera from WalMart. It was very inexpensive....around $55.00.

I have used it twice and I hate it  . Here's the deal...when I press the button to take a picture, it hesitates about a second, then takes the picture. By that time, a baby's smile can disappear forever. I want a camera to take the picture at the exact time that I press the button, similar to the disposable cameras.

Can anyone recommend a camera? I'm not really able to spend more than about $100-$125 on it.

Thanks!!

you are going to get that with almost all point & shoot cameras, the delay is the focus and expouser setting computations. Most cameras will do this if you push the button half way then when you see the smile you can just push the other half and it goes quick.

Check you manual to see if your camera will do this.

I hate it too.
