Can anyone recommend a free online storage website?

In our case, we have a once every 3 to 6 month dump of our photos onto an external HD that gets reput into a safe deposit box. We have 2 in house external HD's. We also have numerous thumb drives.

Trust me, we have back ups to our back ups. My partner works in the IT field. Her job depends on her having her stuff together. If we ever had to evacuate for a natural disaster, we would grab our 3 laptops, our master back-up HD, the animals, some clothes, our wallets and hit the road for safer ground. We just haven't seen the need for offsite internet storage.

Your only weakness is if something happened, robbery/house fire you run the risk of losing 3-6 months of photos/data. I'm just neurotic about it and would be devastated if I lost any of my photos.

I am looking at backing up almost 100 gigs of stuff.

Does Carbonite work okay with that?

I theory yes, but that amount of data would take a long time for the intial upload. I currently have about 80gig backed up, my initial upload was about 40 gig and it took about three weeks to backup. Now it usually will backup overnight when I make changes. After vacation it can be a few days.

Well, we just don't take that many photos. We don't have kids and the majority of our photos are from vacations and family gatherings, which happen roughly every 3 to 6 months.
