We are going to Disney in April. DH, myself, SD(17) and DS(6). In budgeting the food $$ dollar amount, I have to know *where* we are going to eat.

Disney has so many restaurants and we will only be there for 4nights/5days.

Here is what I have so far:

Friday, April 2, 2010 DisneyQuest Day:

Breakfast: AKL, Boma
Lunch: Fulton's Crabhouse
Dinner: ??

Saturday, April 3: Hollywood Studios Day

Breakfast: IHOP
Lunch: Sci Fi Dinner Theatre
Dinner: ??

Sunday, April 4th: Universal's City Walk / No park

Breakfast:??
Lunch: ??
Dinner??

Monday, April 5th, 2010: Heading Home
Breakfast: IHOP
Lunch: On the Road, McDonald's Burger King

Can you please share with me what you are eating for B/L/D on each of your days?

Thank you!!! :goodvibes

I can't imagine having more than one ts meal a day - just too much food! We did the ddp, and even splitting cs meals with my parents (who weren't on it), we seemed to be full the entire trip. Also, ts eats into your touring plans, especially since you only have a couple of days.

Maybe it's because I live in an area with tons of excellent restaurants, but I have yet to be impressed with many of the meals I've had in WDW - nothing offensive, but nothing to write home about.

I'd stick to 1 ts, and then grab some cs, or bring food in.

So, is the only Disney Park that you will be going to Hollywood Studios? If so, I would go to 50's Prime Time also or in place of Sci Fi. The food is much better.

I also don't think that you will need a full day at Disney Quest. I think most kids are done in an hour or two.:confused3

Some other places to eat that are not in a park, but at a Disney resort are: Chef Mickeys, Kona Cafe, & Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Myself, DH and DD5
We are on the Deluxe Dining Plan and we love to eat. I'm a little worried it will be too much food but we'll have fun finding out  Depending on how we make out, I am willing to cancel ADRs as needed and get CS or room service instead :thumbsup2 It's our first family Disney trip and we wanted to splurge on Contemporary MK view and lots of great restaurants :yay:

Food was not that high of a priority for us. I see we ate at POP probably more than I thought we would, but family was tired at the end of the day and wanted to go back to the resort to eat and relax.

We will each have 3 extra snack credits to use at our own discretion when we get hungry, and if any of those are unused at the end of the week we will get some things to take with us on the plane home.

Our schedule just worked better sometimes with two TS on the same day so we just planned a snack for lunch on those days figuring it would be plenty of food and if not we always have those extra snack credits plus the snacks we're mailing ahead. :thumbsup2
