I love coasters of all types, and rides of all kinds. I also love the 2 spiderman movies. I love the chase seens in the movie. I was told this would be the ride of my dreams. Along with the mummy, hulk and duling dragons. Which one would I like the most? :confused3

Spider-man is a fantastc ride. It is like a moving 3D simulator. But the one you would like the most is mummy, very very good ride.

This is an amazing ride. It's 3D so you feel like you are flying from one building to another like Spidey would. When Spiderman jumps from the International State Building - you feel like you are too, when spiderman jumps over a burning car - you feel the heat from that burning car!! Its the best "ride" I've ever experienced!! Dinosour Ride IT at Disney is good too (and Indiana Jones at DL) but none IMO come close to what Universal did with Spiderman!!! Awesone!!!

You walk through the offices of the Daily Bugle. Doc Oc (Dr. Octopuss) has used his anti-gravity gun to steal the Statue of Liberty. The gruff editor recruits guests to enter the 12 passenger "scoops" which are simulator cars with 12 hydraulic piston legs that can reproduce the motions of any vehicle. You are off to get the bad guys spinning and bumping and grinding for 4 and a half minutes. Three D movies are played on the walls in combination with real bigger than life props. At one point you fly into the sky and at the end are sent into a 400 foot sensory drop to be caught in Spiderman's web in the last second. What does the manhole say at the end?

I know what the manhole says!! finally after riding it several times trying to see it (it goes by so fast)

Quick question....My hubby cannot ride Star Tours or any other simulator ride without turning green. Is Spiderman different because it actually moves???? Should he try it out?

Ride each of them and make up your own mind. Each ride is great.

As for the motion sickness question, Spiderman is a much smoother experience than Star Tours.

He won't get sick on Spiderman because the car is actually moving.
In simulators like star tours and others, what you see on the screen is different from the direction the simulator is moving. This tricks the brain, and makes you sick. In Spiderman, this does not happen because you are looking at a real set along with a screen. There is one section going thru a tube where the car spins about 3 times, but it's not that bad.

I have videos of the ride if you want to see it. There are 4 of them on this page. 2 are full POVs that are about 100 megs each. The other two are edited versions where people took my footage and condensed it. Try the 8 meg tour version that Matt did, it has pictures of the ride along with the video. http://www.nogodforme.com/ioapovs2005.htm
