Hello.
This is my first time on the forum. We go to DLP on October 9th for 5 days with our 3 year old (he is crazy about all the Disney Villians). We are stying at the Sequoia Lodge and I want to know where I can buy milk for his night-time story/bottle. Are we best going to the bar at the hotel when we get back or is there a shop?
Thanks for your help.

Hello chapmans and welcome to the DIS!!

I've had a little look and found a couple of threads asking a similar question - here and here

Looks like there are a few options for you :)

I believe there's a petrol station selling milk etc. next to the entrance to the Hotel Santa Fe. This is a bit of a walk though.

Hi chapmans and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

You can buy milk from the Esso garage beside Santa Fe hotel but I'm sure the hotel will sort you out. I know we got milk for DD's bedtime drink from Hotel Cheyenne :)

I'd be interested to know - where exactly is the garage in relation to the hotel?

Right beside it. I used to take shuttle bus to Santa Fe and then walk the 2 minutes to the garage :)

Download HERE Google Earth and you can see the gasstation, the hotels, the park and every thing you wish to see.
Its on the right.

Its a free download and we use it a lot.

The shop at the SL sells UHT milk in little cartons. We bought it there most nights but also bought it at the bar one night (it was a lot more expensive there). Our DD was almost 3 so we were putting it in a cup but the girl at the bar told us she would have given it free to babies and heated up the bottles if the shop had ran out.

The Esso garage also sold fresh milk as DD would not drink the UHT kind :)

Thankyou for all the replies. It was worrying me as he loves his bedtime routine but it seems like we have plenty of options.
This is a great site, full of useful info and tips.
Thanks again. :sunny:

I'm sure you'll have many other questions so please ask away :goodvibes

Trying to reply again tonight. Basically, what I wanted to say was if you have spare luggage space/weight, why don't you buy the small cartons of milk from here and bring them with you? The supermarkets here have started selling small cartons (250mls) of milk now in different flavours and they also have normal plain milk. It's called "Moo" and you can find it in the UHT milk section. At least you know you have them and you don't have to go round looking in the shops. The only thing is it's semi-skimmed but it's only for a few nights, so won't make too much of a difference.

We've just come back from DLP (also Sequoia Lodge) last week and we just brought 3 cartons of milk for DD. It also comes with a straw attached, so you don't even need to bring a cup if she likes drinking from a straw.

Have a good time!

Alice
