I ran a virus scan tonight and one was detected and quaratined. Now what do I do? Do I just delete it or is there more to it than that? I haven't received any of the Microsoft emails that I have been reading about but do appear to have the virus. Anyone have any suggestions??!!

By the way the virus name according to Norton is VerifierBug.class if that helps.

If it can't be repaired then I just delete them :)

Thanks so much Katholyn!! I was afraid it was too easy for that to work. So glad to hear that's all I need to do!!!

Yes, and if it was from an email (you should always have your email screen activated), delete the email from your in folder, then from your deleted folder, then go to Norton and the reports section some time and delete any references to quarantined or backed up files. And the virus you mentioned above is not the current 'popular' one of the past day or two, mimincking Microsoft.

And make sure your virus definitions are ALWAYS up to date. Norton always updates weekly, on Wednesday, as well as anytime a major outbreak occurs. Good luck. Glad you were running your AV.

Thanks for the info Dan - I am new to this virus stuff so any info is helpful! From the report it appeared to be a temporary internet file not an email. Would that make sense? I did delete it and haven't had any computer problems - yet!:p
