Hi. I'm sorry, I don't know where to ask my question. I tried to ask on the rent/trade board but I don't know where my post went. Maybe this is the better forum to ask. Can I use DVC points to stay at a regular disney hotel like port orleans, grand floridian, etc.? I sent away for a disney dvc book and there is a page of how many points it would take to reserve at these hotels. Is this possible? Thank you to anyone who can help me!

Yes, DVC members can make reservations using points at all WDW resorts except the Value Resorts, BWI, BC, WL and soon AKL.

However you can often stay in a DVC 1BR villa for fewer points than at any of these options. If you are considering a DVC purchase to stay at other resorts you may find that DVC is not the best vehicle for such a plan.
