Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had experience with CRT at lunch. My family and I are going to eat lunch there on June 29th and it is our first time eating in the MK. What can I expect at lunchtime at CRT? How's the food and atmosphere? I have a DS 4pirate: and a DD 8princess: , will my son like this or is it a "girlie" experience?? Just curious, we are excited to go and wonder if any Dis-ers can help us get an idea of what to expect??? Thanks in advance!!!

I can't help you with the lunch atmosphere as we have only been at CRT for breakfast. But I can tell you about the boy thing.... we really enjoy CRT... my children are DD(18) and DS(15)... they both love this place. My son is a tall, athletic young man and he gets right into it with the princessess... they actually have teased him on occasion that he got roped into coming to the castle.... he reminds them that it is wonderful there... afterall where else can he see so many beautiful women at once...... One time Belle gave my husband a "talkin to".....he asked her to stand by the kids and she was joking with him telling him that he was acting like Gaston.... they really try and make everyone comfortable.... I think your kids will love it!!!

Maggied,

That sounds awesome!!! Even though my son is only 3 and a half he also loves to flirt with beautiful ladies:lovestruc so I am sure he will love CRT!!! My DS has informed me that he is going to "marry me at Wilderness Lodge and drink wine with me," but now I am worried I will have to compete for his affections with all of those princesses!! He is too cute!!! CRT sounds great and I am sure will be a hit with my family! Thank you for the info!!:goodvibes

We're going on Tuesday for lunch, so I'll report back then how it went.

My son (age 7) is not too thrilled at going...but I hear they give the boys swords to play with, which will probably make him happy. My daughter is 5 and this one is for her...but I think it will be fun for everyone.

I'll let you know for sure when we get back!

We went for lunch Nov. 2006 and loved it! The food was fine not great. The atmosphere was fantastic! You arrrive downstairs and get a picture with Cindy. They you go upstairs for lunch and the princesses circulate. They also give each child a star to make a wish on. This is done during the meal. My gilrs both wished for a dog. Infact they did the entire trip when ever told to make a wish. When we got home we ended up getting them a dog. They say that Disney is magical. That your wishes do come true!

We ate there for lunch on 12/11/ We thought the food was really good and the service excellent.

My only complaint is that we felt a bit rushed. The princesses did not spend nearly as much time at each table as many of the other characters did at other meals.

If it is fun interaction you are looking for, the Crystal Palace breakfast is a must! This was a hit with everyone in our group, even though our girls have outgrown the Pooh gang. They were thrilled with the interaction.

Have fun!!:goodvibes

We've done breakfast and lunch at CRT and enjoyed both. We thought the food was very good at both meals. Our son was 11 the first time we went, and while he wasn't "excited" about going, he enjoyed it when he was there. They make a big deal about being a "prince" and give the a sword vs. the wand for girls.

We love Cindy's! My children, 2 sons and 2 daughters, are now grown, but we will always love CRT. Matter of fact, my DH says it's his favorite place. ( DH thinks he and Cindy have something special going on!) :rotfl2: While the food and the menu isn't what it used to be (that seems to be the theme at WDW nowadays) it is still good.

I joked, on another thread, about how eating at CRT reminded me of an old "I Love Lucy" episode. The one where Ricky takes a sip of coffee and Lucy takes his cup.....and after a bite of toast.....that's gone too! They do expect you to finish in a hurry.
