Here's the deal. We are planning a trip for Dec. 11-20, 2002.

1. That's about two years away, so can I make reservations at S/D now?

2. I am a teacher for a college (state employee) and my husband is a state emplyee, too. Do I ask for the TEACH rate or the Govt. rate?

3. If the 2001 rate is 129.00, does anyone know what the 2002 rate is?

4. We are Disney Club members (with the ENT logo on the back), so would this allow us a free upgrade?

5. Should I ask about this upgrade when I make the reservation?

6. Am I correct in understanding that the Swan is the one with two sinks?

7. Has anyone stayed at WL and S/D and if so, how do they compare (apart from the theming) as far as luxury resorts?

Thank you in advance :)

I'm not sure about this one. Try calling the hotel directly.I'm pretty sure tho, that the dates for discounts have not been set that far in advance,so,even if you are able to book the room now, you would do so at full price and would have to get the discounted rate later when announced.

2. I am a teacher for a college (state employee) and my husband is a state emplyee, too. Do I ask for the TEACH rate or the Govt. rate?

They are the same rate,so it wouldn't matter.

3. If the 2001 rate is 129.00, does anyone know what the 2002 rate is?

As far as I know it hasn't been announced yet.

4. We are Disney Club members (with the ENT logo on the back), so would this allow us a free upgrade?

Right now, only AP holders get the included upgrade. I advise getting a Starwoods Preffered Guest card and showing that at check-in. Might help-can'y hurt!

5. Should I ask about this upgrade when I make the reservation?

Ask at check-in about any upgrades.

6. Am I correct in understanding that the Swan is the one with two sinks?

Yes, the swan has two sinks.

7. Has anyone stayed at WL and S/D and if so, how do they compare (apart from the theming) as far as luxury resorts?

S/D are deluxe resorts every step of the way. Can't speak for WL, but, would love to find out someday, because I love that theming.
However, I keep going back to S/D for the location, service and room rates. To me,it's an unbeatable combination.

Thank you in advance

HTH a little!

I think Poohlovr got it all!

The rates for next year will probably be out at the end of this year. To compare the Teacher/goverment rate last year was $119, this year it is $129. I doubt it will go up by more than $20.

Do call and ask about when you should call for next year. I don't think that those dates are in their system yet!
