Can anyone tell me why the Wonders of Life pavilion in Epcot is only open seasonally? It has been one of my favorite attractions since Epcot opened and I know my kids would love it but last time we went in April it was closed and we are planning our trip for next year the same week in April does that mean it will be closed again? Any help appreciated.

Don't hold your breath. As Disney is still listing it as "open seasonally" nothing can officially be called set in stone, but word is it is closed permanently, and that Body Wars is actually gutted and the ride vehicles in Disneyland. It likely will not reopen until they find another sponsor and give it a complete makeover.

Latest has it is that it is permanently closed. I am not sure an official reason was ever given for going seasonal but I think it started soon after the pavilion lost its sponsorship.

I can't remember the pavillion being open at all for several years now!!! I would like to see something done with it!!!

When we took the undiscovered future world tour in May I asked about this and was told they are working on putting something new in the building.

This pavillion lost its sponsor, Met Life, and that is is when it went on "seasonal" duty for crowd control. The latest is that it is closed permanently. I would guess they are waiting on a new sponsor.

It has not been open on my last 6 trips there.

It was open during my Dec 2005 visit. I hadn't ridden Body Wars in years (since its usually closed) Anyway, I thought Body Wars was much better then Star Tours. It seemed like a shame that it closed most of the time.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but why does Disney need sponsors for any of its attractions?

I was wondering the same thing! We all pay good money to get into the parks and tons once inside. I would think that should be enough to pay for operating the rides!!! I LOVED body wars and all the fun optical illusions. I went the first week of December last year and it was also closed. I do really miss it, and feel that it is a shame to waste all the $$ initally put into the attractions. Oh well!
