Can all sit-downs be character meals?

I guess the title says it all. If we buy the dining plan, can we choose all of our sit-downs to be at character meals? Still trying to decide what to do/1

The way I understand it, yes they can. It says you can use a character meal in place of a sit-down, and the character meal restaurants are all on the list of places you can eat for a sit-down as far as I can tell. We love the character meals!

I understand it to be that way. Since they are counting the character meals as "one table service" if you can manage to get a PS then I say go for it!!

I guess what had me wondering was the way it was stated...."You may exchange a sitdown for "a" character meal." So, I wondered if you could exercise that option only once or something. Thanks for the input!

Just one person's opinion, but I think this would be "too much". If you have kids they may think the characters are suppose to be at every meal and may be disappointed when they are not there. Also, some kids get over stimulated at character meals and don't eat very much.

I have a 2 and 3 year old, and we love the character meals because it beats standing in line to meet the characters in the parks. My kids both ate well at the character meals and enjoyed them alot. I also thought the food at Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace were very good.

We did too many our first trip. By three or four we were just saying, ok,, there's Mickey now just let us eat! We were not on a plan but since you are and if you really like buffets anyway, it might be ok. We get tired of buffets and want to be Waited on sometimes too!! Many times little ones do not eat well at character meals as the they are very active.

We will goto all the character meals we can! We are planning on Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern and Donalds. We wont have to wait to see any characters, what a time saver! Well get great pictures and autographs.

You can get a discount if you book through AAA. A few DISers have reported that they have been able to add the dining plan to email or postcard codes.
