an updo and pixie dust at the Barber shop, just like the kids? I saw the thread where the little girl got an 'updo' with pixie dust.
How much would this cost? (for me! and for dd (2))

ALSO

At bibbity bobbity boutique, can adults get their hair done too? to get the 'do with the extensions and what not, how long does that last? only for the day?

Thanks!

I read that there is no age limit for Bibidi Bobidi and some DISers had made reservations to have it done. Someone else had posted that their DD had left the hair extensions in for a few days.

They do adult cuts at the Barber shop, so I don't see why not.

I think that was my DD's updo....you know, I never even thought about getting mine done with her!! :teeth:

I bet they would be happy to do it. I think next time I just might....DD14 maybe too....all the girls. :thumbsup2

The BBB....I am not sure about..DD is still too little for that one. :confused3

We just came back form WDW on Firday. My daughters had their hair done at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on Wednesday. While we were there we saw a mother and a boy around 10 getting their hair done there. The boy had color, pixie dust mickeys and colored mickeys on his head, just as he would have at the MK Barbershop on Main Street. I gather they would allow anyone, Disney would not refuse anyway to make money. They also have a photographer there taking pics before, during and after. It was really a cute experience and my daughters loved it.

While I suspect they won't turn down your money, I wonder if you'd want to SEE BBB before booking an adult hair style there. I mean, it's really, really.....well....little girly. Very little girly. I may be in the minority but I would feel uncomfortable in the extreme having my hair done at BBB, unless I were under the age of, say, 12.

Yes BIG Kids can get stuff done. My DH got pixie dusted at barber shop during our 2004 Trip on pure chance after getting haircut.
I got the fairy tale style done in May at BBB. I left mine in for a day before I couldn't take it anymore because my hair was full of hair spray and few pieces of hair were falling out that could have been fixed easily enough by someone with a styling clue.

At Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, they do not wash your hair or even brush it. They did spray my daughters hair with water and they used a comb, so really it isn't a beauty parlor, it is just for fun. I am 33 and i would not feel embarassed to have my hair put up at all. Age is just a number, you are only as old as you feel. You are at Disney World, have fun!!! It's really cute inside.

So very true my DH was fine with me doing it and actually took pictures of me and took me out for dinner that night. I got lots of commets from mothers of boys who loved my hair and wished they had the nerve to do it themselves.

I figure I'm a kid at Disney and I will do fun stuff without fear or embarrassment.

Giggle. sounds like fun. :O) I want to do the one with the hair extensions (i will be almost GASP 32 when we go.) and i want it to last more than a day or two! LOL! we shall see if i can squeeze a visit in. :O)

Let's see if this works. Me, 59YO, after a visit to The Harmony Barbershop.

My dh (along with my 2 youngest) got his haircut on Main Street (well, it's not exactly on Main Street anymore).

He got pixie dust, and my FIL also got pixie dust. We got the haircuts early, and everyone commented all day.

I say GO FOR IT!

DFiance' only gets his hair cut now at the MK Barber Shop by Michael. He's 36 so I would think it would be fine.

DW has had cuts at the Barber Shop before and been sprinkled with pixie dust. She avoided the coloring but DS was trying to egg them on. I thik the cost was around 17 dollars for adults at the time.
