Can a travel agent use the code on my reservation?

Sorry, this is sort of a double post, but I'm afraid my question might get missed on page 23 of the other post Our trip was booked through a travel agent and I was wondering if the code can be used on our existing reservation or can it only be used on a trip you booked yourself through WDW? Would my travel agent need to call or could I do it? I have no idea what our reservation number is, so can the CM look that up or do I need to find that out before I call?

Codes can be added after your reservation has been made. I know there are change penalties but I haven ever seen someone say they applied the code then had to pay a penalty for it. People post frequently about their Travel Agents calling them to see if they want whatever new code applied to the reservation. So then it comes down to what the travel agents policy is. I think I saw stuff too about some places not being able to get dining plan packages (I dont know about this one - maybe I misunderstood what I saw) so if you are going to change from a room plus tickets to a discounted package with dining they might not be able to.

When you are booked through a travel agent, the reservation in a sense is in their name (has your name on it but belongs to the agent) and can not be accessed by you. Disney says they cant (wont?) access it. So you can not make any changes to it yourself; the travel agent has to.

Yes! Your TA will have to call and have the discount applied (provided it's still available on your dates).
