Can a person check in a few days after the main person?

I have the bounceback free dining package in Sept and will be going to add a friend. She is thinking of coming a few days after me though, is this ok? I thought I read somewhere that everyone has to be there the same day to check in?

I'm not sure. I think when you have a package, the "everyone needs to be present at check in" just means that they don't want you getting credits for people who don't exist. You can certainly add a person a few days later to a room only reservation, but I don't know how it works for a package, as they specifically state that "everyone in the room must be on the same package for the duration of the stay".

I think a call to Disney is in order. This is a tricky situation.

If it is a package it starts the day the room is booked for everyone even if they come later.

As long as your friend was on the package but if not you need to call Disney. Plus she or he need to check in to get room key. My DH joined me a few days into the free dining but he had to check in to get his key with dining on it. All has to be present when checking in if you have free dining or paid dining. That what it states on the final package you get from Disney that you present to front desk. MY point of view on how I experience it:)

I booked the bounce back offer for this sept for my daughter and I. She has decided to get married on our trip, so the first 6 nights she will be in another hotel with her new husband and then join me in my hotel for the rest of the vacation. They had to keep her on my room reservation for the whole trip in order for her to get the free dining even though she will be in another hotel at the same time for the first 6 days. Since her soon to be husband is also going now we are waiting for the free dining offered for everyone in april. I already added another adult (maid of honor). Even though I just added her she also gets the free dining. My daughters soon to be hubby has to go back to work after 6 nights (army).

My husband will not be there when we arrive. he will be going to Tampa for 2 days. The CM told me it was no problem, BUT there was a grey area with the dining so I removed that from our package.

I checked in 3 days after my cousin once when we shared a room, but this was ages ago and I just paid for my own dining & pass seperate. She & her kids were on a package. Disney did not mind me joining them in the same room later though.

Officially they state that all members of the party must be present at Check-in. The past two years I have been booked with the free dining package. The 1st time I made the reservation under my name & listed my roommate on the reservation. My roommate was not arriving until late the next day and leaving a day before me. I checked in & got the room keys no questions asked. I did not tell them this was the situation when booking the reservation however it was obvious by the separate flight info for the two of us that we were not arriving or departing on the same dates. Last year my roommate made the reservation through a travel agent. Similar situation, I arrived early the 1st day She did not arrive until late the first night. The reservation was made in her name with mine listed on the reservation. They let me check in & gave me both room keys no questions asked. I think the best thing with the free dining plan is to have the 1st person check-in & get all the room keys issued. The late arrival bypasses the check in desk & gets their key from those who originally checked in. We also both used Magical Express for our transportation to & from the airport so they knew we were not arriving together or leaving at the same time. I did not see them ask anyone to present all members of their party at check-in. I'm sure there may have been others who had the dining taken away but that was not my experience.
