Can a nearly 4 yr old use the kids clubs?

The first few days of our forthcoming stay are at the Poly and my youngest DD will be a few days short of 4, will they let her go to the Neverland Club with her big sisters or will she have to wait until she is 4 when we will be at AKL (2 days before we go home)??

While it does say 4-12, I wouldn't think it would be a problem. As long as your child is potty trained. And since it's so close to the 4th birthday, it would be a shame to miss the fun at Neverland Club. My dd, just turned 12, is quite sad that she will be too old the next time she goes to WDW to stay there. She absolutely loved it there.

Just adding the typical legalaties about the care of children under 4 by people other than their parents in Florida is strictly enforced. If something happened to the child in disney care, Disney might have to close the child care clubs. Would you want that to happen?


I could mention the "morality police" who can't handle people lying and setting a bad example for their kids about anything around here.... but I won't. I'll just slide away...on the flame retardant foam I applied this morning.

They are state licensed for child care of children age 4-12. Period. Taking a younger or older child could cause a fine or the loss of their license. I actually looked up and posted the statutes a year or two ago. It's written in plain English.

It would be more of a shame for every child to miss the fun of the Neverland Club because of one selfish parent who lied to get their child in. (Not saying the OP would do this!)

I have no intention of breaking any rules and thus risking closing the club! I was merely asking what the situation is as I know on the Disney Cruise there appears to be more flexibility!

I was going to ask at the hotel when I got there but if it is not possible I will just wait until we are at AKL, it can be a treat for her 4th birthday.

No need for any flame retardant or protective material of any kind on this thread

PS will add this to my list of things never to post about or get involved with debates on eg using old refillable mugs, extra people in the room, pool hopping and wearing jeans to dinner onboard DCL (None of which I would do I might add!!)

I believe the cruise line may have more flexibility because they are traveling on international waters. Don't quote me on this.

If you can't get her into The Neverland Club, try Simba's Cubhouse at the AKL when she is 4. TNC & SC are my two kids favorite places! Last trip in august we were at Disney for 9 nights so they went to BOTH clubs when they usually only go to one per trip.

How about letting your dd go to Neverland Club when she is 4, rather than Simba's? You could still have a nice dinner in the MK area and pick up the kids after. Just seems a shame to not do it at some point. It's not a huge deal to get back to AKL after. We used Neverland Club while staying at POR. Ate at CG. Hopped on the monorail, picked the girls up at the Polynesian, asked Bell Services to call us a cab to take us back to POR since we didn't feel like going back over to MK and bussing it. They were terrific...didn't call a cab, they got a WDW van and took us back personnaly! Even if you have to pay for a cab, it's worth it. Just a thought.
