Can a CM really get discount passes for my family?

We met someone recently who told us she was a CM at Disneyland. We told her we were going in Sept and she said she could get us discount tickets. Before we contact her, I wanted to ask here if this is in fact true -that a CM could get someone discounted tickets. And my next question is how much are they discounted?? Would this be worthwhile or should I just get them on my own?

We are needing 2 adults and 2 children 3 day parkhoppers. I need to get them ordered right away since we only about 3 weeks until we leave. I planned on buying them thru getawaytoday and I don't want to put it off too m uch longer since I have to allow time for shipping.

My sister used to work for the stores when disney owned them, and yes she got discounted passes. This was a few years ago, so I don't know the current details.

CMs dont have discounted tickets for 3 days...

only single days...

DD has never mentioned this is an option. She can "sign" people in for the day (15 times per year), but I do not know of discounted tix. Of course, she is in the College Program and probably does not get all the perks a regular castmember (like Albort) does.
