:wave2: Hey guys,
Just curious if my 2 yo can sit in my lap during any of the rides such as, pirates, small world, jungle cruise, etc......just wondering about this, because I was thinking that after the ride starts if he were to get scared he might try to get into my lap, just wondering if anyone could tell me.
Thanks
Kristy

I hope someone that has experience with this responds, because I'm curious also. My little boy will be two and I wondered the same thing.

My son was 18 months old when we went and he went on almost everything we did. The buzz lightyear ride, jungle cruise, the peter pan ride, there were others but I can't remember. I was actually surprised at much there was for him to do.

I think that as long as there's not a lap bar or restraint that would prevent you from putting him in your lap, you should be fine. When DS was 15 months, I think that he rode POC and IASW and the Pooh ride in my lap. I can't remember what we did for the Peter Pan ride, but I'm pretty sure he was in my lap then also.

I wish I could remember more. Life with small children just zaps the brain cells right out of my head sometimes  !

I'm sure someone else will come along with more info!

We were there last week and DD2 rode on Dh's lap for a bunch of the rides, (my lap is gone being 6 months pregnant!). She did okay by herself as well.

Good question - I was wondering this as I have a 2.5 yo. But I wanted to say to the OP - your son is gorgeous - look at those piercing blue eyes!!!! :)

Yes, he absolutely can. For rides like Peter Pan where there is a lap bar, just position him before the bar comes down so he doesn't get squished.

Do not try to put him on your lap on Haunted Mansion. We did that when ds was 1 and when the bar came down, it squished him. It was awful. He screamed/cried and we pulled him out. Then when we were going around to the part when you discover the ghost in your car, we looked in the mirror and ds was slumped over the bar with his eyes closed! It scared us half to death. Dh shook him and yelled his name only to find out he'd fallen asleep! lol funny now, but at the time we panicked.

Oh and if you hold him on your lap during Maelstrom, be sure to hold on tight. Since he's up higher, if you're not holding on, that dip could make him topple over.

Hey guys,
Thanks so much for the help.....Truly appreciate it......
Attn: Jenr812....thank you very much for the compliment on my son....I love his eyes, one of my fave pics.

My son is 3.5 years old and he road on my lap for just about everything in Fantasy Land and on Pirates and Aladdins carpets. He is a nervous kid and he just always got on my lap after the ride started.
