Can 2 days on a non-parkhopping ticket be used on the same day?

If I buy a non-parkhopping ticket, can I use 2 ticket-days on the same day so that I can go to 2 different parks on the same day? Anyone know if Disney allows that?

Thanks!

Who would ever know?! But if you're going to do it that way, why not just buy the hopper?

No you can't do that. The computer will know that you have already used the ticket and won't allow you entry at the second park.

Yes you can. The computers simply deduct a "day" every time you enter a different park. They don't care when you use it. So if you have a three day pass, you can visit 3 parks in one day (but then nothing for the remainder of your stay).

We were there last March. We were going to be at the parks for 6 days. On only one of those days did our plans call for going to two parks in a day. I didn't want to pay the extra cost to upgrade all our passes to parkhoppers ($40/each $160 total). I just bought a 7 day pass (Extra $2/each $8 total). We went to MK in the morning and then to MGM that night.

Saved me more than $150 plus tax.

Cheers.

This is simply not possible under "normal" conditions.
The only way it could have happened is if there was either a computer glitch or the CM at the gate manually made an "over-ride" when you entered (you would not be able to tell.)

You were very "lucky" that it worked for you.

Under normal circumstances, guests are not allowed to hop with non-hopper tickets.
Multi-day tickets can only be used at one park/one day.

Of course it would be cheaper to buy 6 or 7 day tickets and use them in 3-4 days than to buy a hopper... but its not allowed.

That's why the price structure is the way it is...
so guests are enticed to STAY for more DAYS.

The reason we make such a BIG DEAL of telling folks this, is so they don't make the WRONG DECISION when choosing which tickets to buy.

It will not be allowed...for the exact reason that so many people want to try it - to skip paying the park hopper fee. The turnstile will not read it as a valid ticket at the second park.

BTW I have seen posted on other sites (and this thread) that you cannot do this.
I don't know if you are not ALLOWED to do it (if so I wasn't aware of that), or if it is isn't POSSIBLE to do it because of the computers (which we were able to do).

I agree, you were lucky. The ticket isn't supposed to allow for that unless there's a manual override or there's a glitch...otherwise what's the point of upgrading to a park hopper when you can just get a longer stay on a base ticket and just use those days instead? The ticket only allows one park per day.

Hmmm, I guess we were lucky. Well, I will know better when we go back next March break.
