Trying to modify my reservation online. Having no luck. Click the modify button and the page just reloads. Any suggestions? Don’t want to call and incur long distance charges.

Clear your browsing history, try a different browser (use explorer if you've been using Chrome, for example), try another computer, restart your computer, use incognito mode. I'm not sure if any of those will succeed, but they're worth a shot if you really don't want to call.

I'm not sure when to recommend calling if you do have to call, but I would think the middle of the day would be better than evening or first thing in the morning.

I had same issue as you and tried many suggestions listed above. I ended up booking a new reservation and then cancelling old one. Not really ideal, but it was the quickest/easiest way I could "change" my reservation.

We did that once before too. That might be the thing that works best for OP. I've never had any luck with modifying anything on the Disney website.

That’s what I was thinking. Hate to have to get a credit card credit to go through for no reason. Probably what I’ll do. I’ve tried all the usual fixes.

I know, it stinks. I used to be able to change my reservation without any problems, but I'd say in the last year I have been getting kicked right back to the same page no matter which device I try and no matter which browser I use.

I have had this same issue. Ended up just canceling it. The funny thing is I once checked in with a CM on when the refund was going to process (was taking way longer than usual)... and the CM told me that next time, I should just modify my reservation online instead of canceling it. Would love it! But alas.

I used to have this problem. For over a year, maybe even 2, every time I clicked Change Reservation, it just reloaded the page. I tried to work with tech support to figure it out but hit nothing but brick walls so I just lived with it.
It was the first of many issues that finally ended with them having to build me and entirely new MDE account.
Now that I have a brand new MDE account, I can change reservations fine.
Sorry that isn't the answer anyone wants to hear. Just can say that I feel the pain and sadly, never found an answer till my account completely glitched up and became useless. The fact that my ability to change reservations returned with the new account makes me believe it has something to do with the beginnings of the account starting the data overload that killed my old one.

I suspect you are right. My account is for eight people, many of whom have 75+ trips under our belts. I’m just going to leave the reservation. I’m heading down in August and just hope my account works. New Fastpass day coming August 3. I guess I need to call tech support and get a new account built.

I had this problem a few days ago. It kept telling me they were unable to process the change and try later or call. Using incognito browsing worked for me. In this instance I refused to cancel and rebook because I was modifying a reservation I made before resort parking fees were put in place. And I will not be paying them, so it was necessary to keep this reservation number.

Mine doesn’t even say they are unable to process. I’ll keep trying. If it doesn’t work, I’ll stay put. I refuse to pay like no distance charges and I don’t like the idea of cancelling either because of needing to wait on a credit. Crazy Disney IT strikes again. This should not be difficult.

Member website has an active notification explaining the glitch is temporary. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

The OP has clearly specified that calling isn't an option because of long distance charge. A point I completely understand. Because living in Canada unless you're using an Internet Phone... Long distance charges to call Disney are a killer. It shouldn't be that complicated to modify a reservation. I work in IT and if our system sucked as much as Disney's IT we would be out of business... :confused3

Having NEVER found a solid definition for the term "Glitch", when applied to a computer system...

GLITCH - an often used, poorly defined excuse for POOR PROGRAMMING. See "Escape Hatch", "Dodge", "Excuse", "Outright Lie".

SOLUTION: Call Call Call Call...
Calling will do plenty to change your reservation.
Calling will do nothing to make it where you can change reservations again.
So yeah, totally see why OP won't waste their money calling Tech Support.
