We had to cancel our 2 night trip last weekend after snow/ice cancelled all the flights. I am trying to rebook for a weekend in June. We will fly out the night of my 40th bday so this will be a quick trip to celebrate my 40th and DD high school graduation. Party of 5. DH, Dd17,DS7, DD5 and myself. We will do one day at MK and one day going to Disney springs/pool/resort

Here are my options

Dolphin (between 700-800)
CR TPV (1900!!)
CR garden wing (1300)
Poly 1 night club level / 1 night garden room (no 2 nights available in same category) Poly is would be my #1 choice if they had 2 nights available (1700)

OKW 1 bedroom (if it’s still available when I can use my DVC points in holding) maybe SSR 1 bedroom but have stayed there and would like to try something new

Since we are only doing 1 day in MK and will have a car driving from Dolphin or OKW doesn’t seem to bad. But then I think, welI I love the MK area! I just don’t love the grounds at CR. Always kind of think it’s bland. Not sure I want to pay $900 a night for a room in the tower🤷‍♀️
(I have stayed at BLT not CR)

I’d book Dolphin for now. Great savings, plus you have a car and it’s nice to walk around the Boardwalk in the evening.

But I’d keep checking the Poly for 2 nights in the same room category and grab it if it becomes available. :)

With a short trip like that and paying so much for a resort, the last thing I'd do is switch rooms.

And since we're spending your money instead of mine, I'm voting for CR theme park view.

Definitely CR with the view if you possibly can. (Who spends a mere 2-day trip taking any time gazing at the CR grounds? Booorrrring.)

It's a milestone birthday. GO FOR IT!

We did that nearly 20 years ago and still talk about how wonderful it was to turn the tv to the fireworks audio, crack the door to the balcony so we could hear it, and sit out there in jammies watching Wishes. Sheer Disney deliciousness!
